Before Guests Arrive
- Strip and wash all bed linens, pillowcases, and duvet covers
- Clean and sanitize all bathroom surfaces: toilet, tub, sink, mirrors
- Restock toiletries: toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner
- Vacuum or mop all floors including under furniture
- Dust all surfaces: nightstands, dressers, shelves, window sills
- Clean kitchen counters, sink, and appliances
- Empty all trash cans and replace bags
- Check for and remove any personal items left behind
Linens and Towels
- Provide fresh bed linens for every bed
- Stock 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth per guest
- Add extra blankets and pillows in the closet
- Wash and replace kitchen towels and dishcloths
- Check for stains or worn linens and replace as needed
- Provide beach or pool towels if applicable
Supply Restocking
- Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer stocked
- Paper towels, napkins, and tissues available
- Trash bags under every sink
- Dish soap, dishwasher pods, and sponges
- Basic spices, oil, and cooking essentials
- First aid kit and emergency contact list visible
- WiFi password printed and placed prominently
Final Inspection Walkthrough
- Test every light switch and replace any burned-out bulbs
- Run water in all sinks and check for slow drains
- Test HVAC and set comfortable temperature
- Check remote controls have batteries and work
- Verify door locks, including smart lock codes
- Smell test every room for odors or mustiness
- Take photos of every room for documentation
Exterior and Curb Appeal
- Sweep porch, walkway, and entryway
- Clean exterior light fixtures and door hardware
- Water plants and remove any dead leaves or debris
- Clean outdoor furniture and shake cushions
- Check for cobwebs around doors and eaves
- Ensure house number is visible and well-lit
Quick Turnover (Under 2 Hours)
- Strip beds and start washer immediately
- Wipe all counters and high-touch surfaces with disinfectant
- Vacuum main areas and mop kitchen and bathroom floors
- Restock essentials: toilet paper, soap, coffee, towels
- Empty all trash cans and replace bags
- Do a 5-minute smell and visual walkthrough
- Set out fresh flowers or a small welcome treat
