The rules that keep our service smooth, fair, and safe for everyone. Please read them carefully before booking.

Welcome to KC Mop Stars. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, booking platform, communications, and cleaning services.
By visiting our website, requesting a quote, booking a service, creating an account, communicating with us, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Services Provided
KC Mop Stars provides residential and commercial cleaning services, which may include, but are not limited to:
- Standard cleaning
- Deep cleaning
- Recurring cleaning
- Move-in and move-out cleaning
- Apartment cleaning
- Commercial cleaning
- Add-on cleaning services
- Other cleaning-related services offered through our website or booking platform
Services may be performed by KC Mop Stars employees, team members, contractors, or independent cleaning providers assigned or scheduled by KC Mop Stars.
2. Service Areas
KC Mop Stars provides services in select areas, including Kansas City, Kansas City, MO, St. Joseph, Atchison, Savannah, Country Club, Smithville, and surrounding service areas as listed on our website.
Service availability may vary based on location, scheduling capacity, property type, service type, and team availability. KC Mop Stars reserves the right to decline service outside of our active service areas.
3. Booking & Scheduling
Services may be booked through our website, Booking Koala, approved communication channels, or other scheduling tools used by KC Mop Stars.
When booking a service, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including property size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, service type, condition of the property, access instructions, parking details, pets, and any special requests.
Appointments are scheduled based on availability. While we make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled arrival window, arrival times may vary due to traffic, weather, prior job conditions, team availability, or circumstances beyond our control.
4. Pricing & Estimates
Prices are based on the information provided at the time of booking, including property size, condition, service type, add-ons, frequency, and other relevant details.
KC Mop Stars reserves the right to adjust pricing if:
- The property is larger than described
- The condition of the property requires additional time or labor
- The requested scope differs from the booked service
- Additional rooms, areas, or services are requested
- Heavy buildup, excessive dirt, clutter, pet hair, stains, grease, soap scum, hard water, or other conditions require extra work
- The booking information provided was incomplete or inaccurate
If a pricing adjustment is needed, we may contact you before beginning or continuing the service. If we are unable to reach you, we may complete only the work covered by the original booking or decline to perform the service.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
KC Mop Stars may require a valid payment method at the time of booking. You authorize KC Mop Stars and its payment processors to charge the payment method on file for completed services, deposits, recurring services, cancellation fees, lockout fees, add-ons, pricing adjustments, and other applicable charges.
If payment fails, is disputed, or is not received, KC Mop Stars may pause, cancel, or refuse future services until the outstanding balance is paid.
6. Recurring Services
Recurring cleaning services may be offered weekly, biweekly, monthly, or on another approved schedule.
Recurring pricing may be based on the expectation that the property is maintained on a regular basis. If appointments are skipped, canceled, delayed, or the property requires additional work, pricing may be adjusted.
KC Mop Stars reserves the right to modify recurring service pricing, frequency, team assignment, or availability with notice.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service time unless otherwise stated during booking.
Cancellations, reschedules, or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Same-day cancellations, lockouts, no-shows, or failure to provide access may be charged up to 50% of the scheduled service cost, or another amount communicated at the time of booking.
KC Mop Stars reserves the right to cancel or reschedule service due to weather, unsafe conditions, staffing issues, illness, emergencies, access issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
8. Access to Property
You are responsible for ensuring that our team can access the property at the scheduled time.
Access may be provided by:
- Meeting the team in person
- Leaving a key
- Providing a lockbox code
- Providing garage, door, or gate access instructions
- Arranging approved entry in advance
If our team cannot access the property within a reasonable time, the appointment may be treated as a lockout or same-day cancellation, and a fee may apply.
KC Mop Stars is not responsible for delays, incomplete service, or cancellation due to incorrect access instructions, locked doors, unavailable keys, malfunctioning entry systems, gated community restrictions, building access limitations, or lack of parking.
9. Parking
You are responsible for providing safe, legal, and reasonable parking for our cleaning team.
If paid parking is required, parking fees may be added to your invoice. KC Mop Stars is not responsible for parking tickets, towing fees, or access delays caused by unavailable or restricted parking.
If parking is not reasonably available, the service may be delayed, shortened, rescheduled, or canceled, and fees may apply.
10. Pets
Pets must be secured or safely managed during service.
KC Mop Stars loves pets, but our team’s safety and your pet’s safety are important. We may refuse, pause, or reschedule service if a pet is aggressive, overly disruptive, unsecured, or creates an unsafe working environment.
KC Mop Stars is not responsible for pets that escape, become stressed, or are injured due to being unsecured or improperly managed during service.
11. Property Condition & Safety
Your property must be in a condition that allows cleaning to be performed safely and effectively.
KC Mop Stars may refuse, pause, or discontinue service if the property contains unsafe, hazardous, unsanitary, or unreasonable conditions, including but not limited to:
- Biohazards
- Human or animal waste
- Blood or bodily fluids
- Mold beyond normal surface cleaning
- Pest infestations
- Hoarding conditions
- Excessive clutter
- Broken glass or sharp objects
- Needles or drug paraphernalia
- Unsafe electrical conditions
- Aggressive animals
- Active construction hazards
- Excessive heat, cold, or lack of utilities
- Inappropriate, threatening, or harassing behavior
Additional charges may apply if the condition of the property requires more time, special handling, or a revised scope of work.
12. Utilities & Working Conditions
You are responsible for ensuring the property has working electricity, running water, lighting, heating or cooling as reasonably needed, and safe access to areas being cleaned.
If utilities are unavailable or conditions are unsafe, KC Mop Stars may be unable to complete the service, and cancellation or lockout fees may apply.
13. Clutter & Personal Items
KC Mop Stars provides cleaning services, not organizing, decluttering, or disposal services unless specifically agreed.
Excessive clutter may limit what our team can clean. We may clean around clutter or skip areas where surfaces, floors, sinks, counters, furniture, or fixtures are not reasonably accessible.
Please secure valuables, fragile items, important documents, medications, cash, jewelry, firearms, personal items, and items of sentimental value before service begins.
14. Items We Do Not Clean
Unless expressly agreed in writing, KC Mop Stars does not clean or handle:
- Biohazards
- Mold remediation
- Pest infestations
- Animal waste beyond minor incidental cleaning
- Human waste or bodily fluids
- Fire, smoke, or water damage restoration
- Hazardous chemicals
- Hoarding cleanup
- Exterior high windows
- Heavy lifting
- Chandeliers or fragile specialty fixtures
- Electronics interiors
- Firearms, weapons, or illegal substances
- Areas that require ladders beyond normal safe reach
- Any area or item our team determines to be unsafe
15. Satisfaction Policy
Your satisfaction matters to us. If you are not satisfied with your cleaning, you must notify KC Mop Stars within 24 hours of service completion.
We may request photos or details of the concern. If the concern is within the original scope of service, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue, which may include a re-clean of the affected area.
Re-clean requests must be related to the original booked service and may not include new tasks, additional rooms, add-ons, or areas not included in the original appointment.
Refunds are not guaranteed and are handled on a case-by-case basis.
16. Damages, Breakage & Liability
Any damage, breakage, or concern must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.
KC Mop Stars is not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Items that are loose, unstable, improperly installed, poorly repaired, or already damaged
- Delicate, antique, sentimental, irreplaceable, or high-value items not disclosed in advance
- Damage caused by improper installation, aging materials, weak grout, loose fixtures, deteriorated caulking, worn finishes, or manufacturer defects
- Items left unsecured or in areas being cleaned
- Damage resulting from customer-provided products or instructions
Liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by law.
17. Customer-Provided Products
If you request that KC Mop Stars use customer-provided cleaning products, tools, or equipment, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for damage, reduced results, chemical reactions, residue, discoloration, or other issues caused by those products.
KC Mop Stars reserves the right to refuse to use any product we believe may be unsafe, ineffective, improperly labeled, or unsuitable for the requested cleaning.
18. Photos & Quality Control
KC Mop Stars may take before-and-after photos, service photos, or condition photos for quality control, documentation, training, dispute resolution, and internal business purposes.
We may use non-identifying photos for marketing purposes, such as showing cleaned spaces or results, unless you request otherwise in writing. KC Mop Stars will not knowingly publish personally identifiable information, sensitive personal items, addresses, family photos, documents, or identifying details without consent.
19. Communications, SMS & Email Marketing
By providing your phone number, email address, or other contact information, you agree that KC Mop Stars may contact you regarding your inquiry, quote, booking, account, service, payment, review request, promotions, and other service-related or marketing communications.
KC Mop Stars may use platforms such as Booking Koala, GoHighLevel, email services, SMS providers, phone systems, and other tools to manage customer communications, appointment reminders, marketing campaigns, and follow-ups.
Communications may include:
- Appointment confirmations
- Service reminders
- Arrival updates
- Follow-up messages
- Review requests
- Account or billing messages
- Promotional offers
- Seasonal specials
- Service updates
Text message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary.
You may opt out of promotional text messages by replying STOP. You may reply HELP for assistance. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us directly.
Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent KC Mop Stars from contacting you about active bookings, payments, safety issues, account matters, legal notices, or service-related communications.
20. Website Use
You agree not to misuse our website, booking system, forms, chat tools, or communication channels. Prohibited activity includes attempting to interfere with website functionality, submitting false information, impersonating another person, using our website for unlawful purposes, or attempting unauthorized access to our systems.
KC Mop Stars may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or booking process at any time without notice.
21. Third-Party Platforms
KC Mop Stars may use third-party platforms and service providers, including Booking Koala, GoHighLevel, payment processors, website hosts, analytics tools, advertising platforms, and communication providers.
Your use of third-party tools may also be governed by those providers’ own terms, privacy policies, and security practices. KC Mop Stars is not responsible for the acts, omissions, outages, data practices, or service limitations of third-party providers.
22. Promotions, Discounts & Gift Cards
Promotions, discounts, coupons, referral credits, and special offers are subject to availability and may be changed, limited, or discontinued at any time.
Offers may not be combined unless expressly stated. Promotional pricing may not apply to recurring services, add-ons, specialty services, prior bookings, or rescheduled appointments unless approved by KC Mop Stars.
Gift cards, credits, or prepaid services may be subject to additional terms disclosed at the time of purchase.
23. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
KC Mop Stars reserves the right to refuse, pause, cancel, or discontinue service for any reason permitted by law, including but not limited to:
- Unsafe or unsanitary conditions
- Inaccurate booking information
- Unreasonable or abusive behavior
- Harassment or discrimination toward team members
- Nonpayment or disputed payment history
- Excessive clutter or hazardous conditions
- Aggressive or unsecured pets
- Requests outside our service scope
- Repeated cancellations or lockouts
24. Independent Contractors
Some services may be performed by independent contractors or third-party cleaning providers scheduled or coordinated by KC Mop Stars.
KC Mop Stars may facilitate booking, customer communication, billing, quality standards, and customer support. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship between you and any cleaning provider.
25. No Guarantee of Results
KC Mop Stars will make reasonable efforts to provide high-quality cleaning services. However, results may vary based on the age, condition, material, staining, buildup, damage, or maintenance history of the property or item being cleaned.
We do not guarantee removal of all stains, odors, hard water buildup, mold, mildew, soap scum, grease, pet hair, discoloration, or long-term buildup.
26. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KC Mop Stars shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, loss of use, loss of data, emotional distress, or business interruption.
KC Mop Stars’ total liability for any claim related to a service shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by law.
27. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KC Mop Stars, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, inaccurate information you provide, unsafe property conditions, customer-provided products, third-party access issues, pets, or misuse of our website or services.
28. Changes to These Terms
KC Mop Stars may update these Terms at any time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Your continued use of our website, booking platform, communications, or services after updates are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
29. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where the service is performed, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be handled in the appropriate courts serving the area where the service was provided, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
